After spending 17 years as a celebrity fashion and TV stylist, Lindsay took a chance in 2018 by self-funding her namesake company, Lindsay Albanese. She launched the business with her own invention, TOPTOTE, the U.S. patented hat holder that sold out at Nordstrom in-store and online less than two weeks after launch. Following the success of TOPTOTE and experiencing first-hand all that went into developing a new business venture, Lindsay realized there was a lack of support, resources, and community for ambitious female inventors like herself. So she founded the fileist, a marketplace and community for a new, upcoming generation of entrepreneurs and female inventors — who are changing the face of American products.
