Creating your GoDaddy Events profile

Your GoDaddy Events profile is separate from your GoDaddy.com account.

You do not need a GoDaddy.com account to create a GoDaddy Events profile.

Shortcut: Create your GoDaddy Events profile

Step-by-step instructions:

  1. Go to the GoDaddy Events website
  2. In the header navigation, click Log In
  3. On the Login screen, click Create Account
  4. Fill in your profile details

Browsing events

GoDaddy Events are organized by locations and groups. Multiple groups can exist in a location.

To browse upcoming events:

  1. On the home page, you can view upcoming events, and explore events by region
  2. To view all upcoming events, click “Upcoming Events” in the navigation menu or footer
  3. Use the event listing options to filter by event type, event tags, and location
  4. Toggle between List and Calendar views using the provided options

To browse past events:

  1. In the navigation, click Groups
  2. On the chapter groups page, find the group you’d like to see past events for

Click on an event you’re interested in to learn more about it.

 

RSVPing for a GoDaddy-hosted event

If you’ve found an event you’d like to attend, you’ll need to RSVP. If you’ve already created your GoDaddy Events profile, great! Your information will be pre-filled when you RSVP. If you haven’t created an Events profile, you’ll be prompted to create one when you RSVP.

RSVP'ing for an event:

  1. On the event details page, click RSVP
  2. Follow the prompts to create a profile or fill in your details
  3. Check the “add me to this local chapter” to receive updates about future events for this group
  4. Click Submit to complete your registration

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email from GoDaddy Events.

For virtual events, the confirmation email will include a link to join the event.

 

Attending a GoDaddy-hosted event

When you register for an event, the confirmation email will include location details. For virtual events, the confirmation email will also include a link to join the event. If you can’t find your confirmation email, don’t worry – you can also join from the event details page.

Attending a GoDaddy-hosted virtual event:

  1. On the GoDaddy Events website, find the event you RSVP’d to
  2. Click the event title to open the event details page
  3. Under the event title, click the “Join virtual event here!” button

 

 

 

Virtual events may take place on the GoDaddy Events platform, or they may take place on another platform like Zoom. It depends on the event. Whatever the case, you’ll find the link to attend the event in your confirmation email and on the event details page.

 

Participating in a GoDaddy-hosted virtual event

Virtual events hosted on GoDaddy Events take place in your browser. There are no additional apps to download to your computer or device.

When you join the event, you will see the event hosts and speakers on your screen.

If you’re joining the event from a computer, you will see the event chat on the right. Use this to communicate with the event hosts and other attendees.

Click the Attendees tab to view a list of all attendees, hosts, and speakers currently present in the event. You can even message them directly by right-clicking on their name.

Event hosts can promote attendees to Speaker status. If you’re granted Speaker status, you will be prompted to enable your microphone and camera before joining the video conversation.

You can leave an event at any time by closing the browser tab. If you’d like to rejoin, return to the event details page, and click the “Join virtual event here!” button.

Managing your GoDaddy Events profile

Your GoDaddy Events profile controls how you show up on the GoDaddy Events platform. It’s different than your GoDaddy.com or GoDaddy Community account.

To manage your GoDaddy Events profile:

  1. Log into the GoDaddy Events site
  2. In the navigation, click your profile picture
  3. In the dropdown menu, click Profile
  4. On your profile page, Click Edit Profile
  5. Update your details, then click Save

To change your GoDaddy Events password:

  1. Log into the GoDaddy Events site
  2. In the navigation, click your profile picture
  3. In the dropdown menu, click Settings & Privacy
  4. On the settings screen, click Change Password
  5. Enter your current & new password, then click Change Password

To delete your GoDaddy Events account:

Note that deleting your GoDaddy Events account will not delete your GoDaddy.com account or GoDaddy Community account.

  1. Log into the GoDaddy Events site
  2. In the navigation, click your profile picture
  3. In the dropdown menu, click Settings & Privacy
  4. On the settings screen, click Delete Account
  5. Review the terms, then click Delete Account
